Building on the foundations established in the previous STEM course, this session dives deeper into hands-on engineering and design principles while introducing exciting new challenges and skills. Students will tackle engaging physics problems and embark on a new class project: designing a custom light bar for their Race Truck.
Using OnShape CAD, participants will bring their ideas to life by designing a light bar that will be manufactured using professional 3D printing services. Beyond design, students will explore the basics of electronics, learning how to wire, solder, and connect their light bars to their Race Truck's systems.
The program also includes expanded lessons on racing techniques, with opportunities for students to engage in thrilling head-to-head races, putting their trucks and skills to the test.
Each student will receive the official Radio Control Truck Session 2.0 build/STEM manual and their custom-designed light bar as part of their kit, ensuring they leave the course with valuable knowledge and a tangible product of their creativity. This program promises to inspire curiosity, encourage problem-solving, and fuel a passion for STEM!
